The Carolina Urn is made from Lignum Vitae, the "Tree of Life" which is found in South America. Lignum Vitae is one of the hardest and heaviest woods (three times as hard as oak). The wood's natural characteristics and varying grains and colors are special for every cremation urn. These urns have varying grain patterns and no two urns are alike.
