Who will put the ashes into the Urn? Top
Our advice is to bring the remains and the urn to the funeral home or the crematory and they will transfer the ashes into the urn.

Can Everlife Memorials put the ashes into the Urn? Top
We cannot fill the urn for you because we are not facilitated to do so. You may want ask your funeral director to assist with this.

How does the Urn open? Top
For just about every urn listed on our site there should be details of how the urn opens, If for some reason it is not on our site please contact us.

Should I seal my urn and how do I do that? Top
There is no need to seal the urn, but if you like you would like to use silicon caulking which can be purchased from a hardware store. Before sealing the urn you can apply a small amount around the opening but, do this only if you do not plan on opening it again.

How heavy are the Urns? Top
Our urns are approximately between 4 and 35 pounds depending on the material.website, burial vault

How do I clean my Urn? Top
The best way to clean your urn is to wipe the urn with a dry cloth.

Will my metal urn tarnish or rust? Top
If kept indoors your metal urn including bronze, brass, pewter, copper or plated urn may tarnish slightly over a period of time. This is expected of metal items. If it should tarnish, there are metal cleaners that will restore the original finish. If stored outdoors in a grave space or in a columbarium niche the effect will occur considerably faster.

Can I bury my Urn? Top
Yes; however, some cemeteries may require an urn burial vault.

Can I return my urn? Top
Yes, you can return your urn; however, certain restrictions apply. For more details read our return policies.

Do the ashes of a large adult fit into the urn? Top
In most cases yes. The average cremated remains displace between 140-180 cubic inches. If you are concerned about whether they will fit, prior to purchasing you can always measure (or ask the funeral home or crematory) their displacement to determine the size urn you will need. What is a keepsake urn? Top
A keepsake urn is an urn where only a partial amount of the remains will fit in. Learn more from our article "What Are Keepsake Urns?".

Can my urn be personalized? Top
Some urns can be engraved while others have different personaliztion options. Each urn product page will list the available personalization options in the lower right corner of the page.

If I do not use Everlife Memorials for engraving, whom would you recommend? Top
We recommend checking with a local trophy shop or jeweler who is set up to engrave.

If I engraved my urn can I return it? Top
